Chris is creating animated, digital installations of his pieces. Designed to be displayed on large screens, areas of each painting are digitally animated to move with intricate subtlety. (More subtle and more detailed than the short example above, but this level of detail makes it clear over the internet). The works are accompanied by a surround sound audio atmosphere and when implemented on a huge scale, in a foyer, waiting area or boardroom for example, they have an utterly mesmerizing effect, consuming the viewer with curiosity and a sense of peace. The idea is that someone passing by suddenly notices and thinks to themselves, ‘What! Did that just move? Oh my goodness, it’s all moving there and there, and there too!’… Mesmerized
